The Man Walk provides an opportunity for men to get together to walk, talk and support each other in a regular and healthy way. The Man Walk provides an environment that is positive, supportive and inclusive, where there is no pressure and no barriers to entry - just an opportunity to walk, talk and support! We want to make it ok to talk, and we want to make it ok for men to ask for help if they need it

The Man Walk is an initiative that connects men, strengthens communities and combats social isolation and loneliness. The Man Walk has had a significant impact on many of our men, whether that be towards their physical, mental or emotional health. Joining a Walk is a great way for you to implement healthy, regular physical activity into your routine as well as make a bunch of new, great mates!

We have over 80 Walk locations Australia wide. To find the nearest location, follow this link. This will also have all the details you need to know for the Walk, including the day, start time and starting location. We are always looking to add new locations. If you are up for starting The Man Walk in your local community, we would recommend him getting in touch about becoming a Manbassador. Our Manbassadors are the life-blood of our mission. They help us to start new walk locations, spread the word in local communities and are responsible for looking after the Walk in that location. If you would like to look at getting a new Walk started and you are (or you know) the perfect man for the job, follow this link.

The Walk is usually around 45 – 60 minutes and between 3.5 - 5kms, with a lot of our locations finishing off with a coffee and/or breakfast post-walk for anyone who wants to stick around (which is most of the Walkers’ favourite part!)

Once you have found a location close to you, all you have to do is show up to the starting location, at the starting time, on the day of the Walk. Our Manbassador and the rest of the Walkers will be there to welcome you with open arms. No, there is no need to sign up. Just arrive on the day and you will be instantly welcomed as part of the crew. If you would like to get to know some of the other Walkers from the location and/or introduce yourself before you join, you can find the location’s Facebook Group on the location’s page by following this link.

There is no cost in joining The Man Walk. We are proud to provide no barriers to entry, making The Man Walk accessible to every Man.

No, there is no commitment to the Walk and no pressure to join. You can come whenever it works for you (although, we usually find that it becomes the highlight of most of our Walkers’ weeks!).

We are committed to including and engaging women within our initiative. However, men are our primary focus when it comes to our Walks. The Women of The Man Walk group is a way for us to create a community amongst the women who are keen to get involved, and we are excited to create different, complimentary initiatives for The Women of The Man Walk to engage in that align with the growth of The Man Walk (watch this space!).

Talk to him about it, tell him why you think he should join, show him our socials and support him with whatever he needs to take the step in showing up. We understand that joining something like The Man Walk can be daunting for some, but we are positive that after he joins that first Walk, he will see just why we have experienced such rapid growth in the number of Walkers across all of our locations.

First and foremost, encourage the men in your life to come and join The Man Walk. If you already have a Man in your life that Walks, share that experience with other Women so they can also help encourage the men in their life. Help us to spread the word and build this incredible initiative far and wide so that we can encourage more man to Walk, Talk and Support.
