Women of The Man Walk

We understand that many women are eager to support this mission and get involved. To harness this valuable support, we have established “The Women of The Man Walk” Facebook group. This group is specifically for the partners, daughters, mothers, sisters, and friends of current and future Man Walkers. By creating this separate community, we aim to empower women to encourage the men in their lives to join and benefit from The Man Walk.

Support The Man Walk

It's not just a just a walk in the park! Every dollar helps us reach more men, spark more chats, and build stronger, healthier communities.
Steve, Walker
I was actually thinking about joining for almost 18 months, I finally ended up going and it was just a great experience from day one. It’s the connection with men obviously, but for me personally it goes beyond that, its all a domino effect. I met a whole bunch of new friends who I now play golf with, I met one guy who dragon boated who has now got me into dragon boating and now I’m national champion after 11 months of it! None of those things would have happened if it wasn’t for The Man Walk.
Andrew, Walker
I joined The Man Walk because I’ve had two heart transplants and a kidney transplant. I’ve been walking about 7 months now, I stopped working when Covid hit and my wife thought it was a good idea to join the group. It took me two years to actually pluck up the courage to come and join because of the anxiety I was suffering with, but these guys made it so easy to come and join the group with open arms. It’s just like a big group of brothers, its awesome!
Norm, Kiama Council Employee
I’d like to thank Kiama Council for engaging with The Man Walk, it was a great event and a great thing to do for the community, showing that they support all of their staff and are 100% behind them.  It’s the best thing they have done, and one of the best things they have put their money towards.
Carmela, Woman of The Man Walk
My husband does The Man Walk. When he goes for the walk on a Saturday morning he comes home much happier. He leaves grumpy and then comes home happier! Definitely encourage your husbands to go for The Man Walk, it’s really wonderful. And it keeps them out of the house for an hour or so!
Gus, Walker
It changed my life when I came here. I like to talk with different people now. I couldn’t speak English very well, but at The Man Walk I started to learn a little bit more.
Mark Andrews, CEO of Elite Rugby League Pathways
I run Elite Rugby League Pathways where we deal with a lot of up and coming kids, and also having three boys of my own, being a part of and linking with organisations like The Man Walk is fantastic for talking to men and being linked with people that are likeminded and go through the same thing you do. I had a brother that committed suicide when I was 21 and I look back and think if we had better organisations and support networks like The Man Walk around people like myself and my brother, I think that things like that could have  been potentially avoided. Big supporter, love what Burnsy and the boys do, get out and have a walk.
